Mundelein’s online bill payment system to shut down during upgrade

Mundelein’s online bill payment system will be inoperable betwen Jan. 8 and 10 as the software is upgraded, officials said.

During this time, payments must be made with cash or checks, according to a post on the village’s Facebook page. Credit cards won’t be accepted.

Receipts will be provided for all transactions.

The temporary restriction applies to water bills, permits, licenses and other bills or fees.

The new system will go live on Jan. 13.
