Columnist’s views are common, appreciated

This is in response to a recent reader’s letter whining about Susan Estrich’s recent column(s): “Why does the Daily Herald publish Opinion pieces from Susan Estrich?” — Dec. 21.

More than 78 million of us (50.1% of the popular vote) agree with Susan Estrich’s “radical, leftist beliefs.” We despise Trump. We hate everything he says. We hate everything he does. We hate everything he stands for.

We hate his clown-car collection of cabinet nominees and government appointees. We will fight him every inch of the way, every day of his term, in any way we can, until we are finally rid of that ignorant fraud.

Kudos to Susan Estrich for giving voice to our beliefs. Kudos to the Daily Herald for running Estrich’s columns.

Does the Daily Herald “give the same space and platform to those who have opposite views?” Yes, the Daily Herald regularly publishes the columns of Trump apologists Michael Barrone and Byron York. That is what a legitimate, responsible newspaper does.
