State flag is fine

The letter to the editor from Thomas Avallone of West Dundee on Saturday was certainly an idea that should be heeded by all residents of the State of Illinois. Do not mess with the state flag of Illinois. We agree that nine of the 10 finalists were horrible picks, and we agree that the one final good example is so close to the original present flag: why mess with it? The legislators have plenty to do besides fool with this silly state flag suggestion. Please forget about this nonsense and leave the state of Illinois flag alone.
