‘Getting even’ brings war without end

The war with Israel and Gaza and now Lebanon is still going on. The two truces with Lebanon were broken by both sides. With two cultures believing in “A tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye,” I see no end to the war.

Each side gets “even” for the last outrage. You can’t kill over 40,000 people without killing the 100 hostages. All that will happen is that the surviving children will grow up to “get even.” It will never end.
