A mule’s second kick

Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter, after repeatedly promising he would not, has come under fire from not only conservatives but Democrats as well. Having lost seven swing states in the presidential election with four Democratic senators, then five Democratic representatives and now one Democratic governor denouncing the pardon when will Democrats finally learn there is no education in a mule’s second kick?

Now, whispers of Biden’s cynical contemplation of ‘preemptive pardons’ circulating in D.C. are proof that Democratic accusations of Trump lies and deceit are really a confession. The very idea of a preemptive pardon is shocking. This is the exact kind of flouting of the law of which Democrats love to accuse Trump. Think about what a preemptive pardon means: It is an admission Democrats believe recipients committed crimes. It’s a complete assault on the rule of law and that Democrats believe that justice not only is political but should be politicized.

Do the American people not have a right to hold powerful individuals accountable if they abused their power or committed crime? How deep is the hypocrisy in the Democratic Party pretending to defend the rule of law by abusing it for the sake of protecting their own.
