Teens with Waukegan American Legion Auxiliary send sweet greetings to veterans

Mia and Fiona Karras decorated and added candy to 200 Christmas cards for military veterans at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago.

Sisters Mia and Fiona are junior members of the Waukegan American Legion Auxiliary and have been sending decorated Christmas cards for several years.

They want the veterans to know they are appreciated by getting cards and snacks along with handwritten notes thanking them for their service.

The Christmas cards, stickers, candy, etc. were donated by the Waukegan American Legion Auxiliary.
