West Dundee church to host Dec. 14 Cookie Walk
First Congregational Church of Dundee will host its Cookie Walk on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. until noon. The community is invited to this event. Admission is free.
They will be selling homemade, decorated cookies, pretzels, bars, barks, candies and other holiday sweet treats by the pound. Pick your own specialty holiday goodies from the selection; there is no need to bake this Christmas!
A craft boutique of handmade and holiday gift items — art work, ornaments, wood crafts, afghans, scarves, hats, home decor, knitted goods and so much more — will also be on sale.
For a $10 donation, guests can pick a mystery bottle of wine, packaged in the red FCC of Dundee wine totes!
There also will be themed gift baskets for purchase (not auction). For those interested in donating a basket, it should be $50-$100 in value (donated items can be bundled together if necessary) and include only new items. Theme ideas include family movie night, baby, kids' crafts, game night, sip and paint, BBQ, sports, spa, cozy/hygge and pickleball. In addition, they would like to have gift cards available for sale. Gift cards can be donated from local businesses or individuals, but must be new and valid, and will be sold for face value.
“The Church on the Hill” is located at 900 S. Eighth St. (Route 31 and Angle Tarn), West Dundee. For details, call (847) 426-2161, ext. 202, or visit www.fccdundee.com.
