Enjoy a winter festival in Mundelein on Dec. 7

A tree-lighting ceremony, ice carving and other activities are planned for Mundelein’s winter festival.

The event is set to run from 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Courtland Commons park, 444 E. Courtland St.

Village officials are teaming with the Mundelein Park & Recreation District and Mundelein Community Connection to stage the event.

A winter holiday market is planned. A visit from Santa Claus and a fireworks show are among the other anticipated activities. Santa should arrive at 2 p.m.
