Styrofoam recycling available in Lake Zurich

Styrofoam recycling is available in Lake Zurich. A drop-off container is located behind the American Legion building, 51 Lions Drive. Hours are noon to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and 9 to 11 a.m. Fridays, excluding holidays. The drop-off is intended for food service and packaging Styrofoam products with the number 6 in a triangle symbol. Materials should be loose and free of any other packing, such as boxes, paper and plastic bags. Food service containers should be wiped clean and dry. Straws, lids, labels, tape, trash, packing peanuts and insulation will not be accepted. This is for residential use only. Visit lakezurich.org.
