Authorities investigating body found in Busse Woods

Cook County sheriff’s police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village on Saturday.
About 9 a.m., sheriff’s police responded to a report of a possible human body along the roadway in the Busse Woods South Forest Preserve near Higgins and Arlington Heights roads, officials said.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman’s body in the woods adjacent to the roadway, officials said.
The cause and manner of death were awaiting an autopsy by the Cook County medical examiner’s office. The death investigation is ongoing.
