Use what works against homelessness

In response to the recent article on a Mundelein camping ban:

In a state like Illinois and a county like Lake County — with some of the smartest, best, most well-managed efforts to end homelessness in the country — it’s really astonishing to see Mundelein fall back on policies that 1) are proven not to work and 2) run deeply contrary to our own values and the future we are building here.

I’m so grateful that heroic organizations like PADS Lake County and all the faith-based and other institutions in our community that support them, are committed to leading with both our shared values and best practice. Instead of going backward, let’s keep investing in what works.
