Dams and environment

A pat on the back for a well-written letter by Steve Patzer Tuesday, Oct. 22. When it comes to nature, you don't receive more from less environment. Our forest preserves and river make us unique for beauty and resources. Apparently, the proponents for dam removal haven't spent time navigating our river system in shallow backwater craft enjoying the abundance of diverse wildlife making it their home, the dams must stay.
