Free smoke alarms available for Mundelein residents

Mundelein residents can get free smoke alarms installed in their homes by firefighters.

The Mundelein Fire Department is teaming with the Illinois state fire marshal’s office and a nonprofit group called Camp I Am ME for the “Be Alarmed!” promotion.

The effort coincides with Fire Prevention Month.
