Vernon Hills man sentenced to seven years for Wheeling robberies

A 23-year-old Vernon Hills man was sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to four burglaries at Wheeling apartment complexes in 2014.
Kenny Bahena pleaded guilty Thursday, court records show.
The burglaries were between February and June of 2014. Prosecutors say Bahena, described as a gang member, drove other gang members to the complexes where they took jewelry and electronics from the apartments.
Bahena was also ordered to pay $714 in fines, records show.
