Reps should do what constituents want

Republican state Rep. Jennifer Sanalitro is doing the correct thing by voting for what her constituents want done. The newcomer who is challenging her, Maria Vessey, is not going to do what the constituents want. Vassey feels it is better to have the state keep senior driving test because her mother had health issues and if the state hadn’t said to her mother, “I don’t think you should be behind the wheel,” she would still be driving.

That is not serving what the constituents want. They want it eliminated for being discriminatory. Illinois is the only place in the world that has this discriminatory practice against seniors by making them take a test based on age. The world against Illinois who is right. A state rep is supposed to represent what the constituents in their area want not what the State Rep personally wants.

Voters should be made aware of who really represents what they want, not just self-interest.
