Learn about I-PASS stickers at Oct. 24 event in Carol Stream

Information on the new I-PASS stickers that are replacing plastic transponders will be offered during an event in Carol Stream.

State Sen. Seth Lewis and state Rep. Amy Grant are partnering with the Illinois tollway to present the free session from 3 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 24 at the Fountain View Recreation Center, 910 N. Gary Ave.

Tollway officials will also be there to answer questions and help people transfer to the new stickers without disrupting their I-PASS account activity.

The sticker tag can be used on Illinois tollways and E-Z Pass roads in other states within 24 hours of activation. No deposit is required for the stickers, and the $10 deposit for the transponders will be transferred to the new account once activated.
