Equality vs. equity
I wonder if Ms. Guider (Your Views from Oct. 1) understands the difference between equity and equality. She extols the virtues of DEI while that concept is shown to be divisive and racially motivated and is being debunked and abandoned by countless corporations, organizations and schools.
Equity is the leveling of the playing field to insure equal outcomes for all. Sounds fair, but it’s a basic tenet of Marxism. Equality is the insurance of equal opportunities for all, an enormous difference. Maybe she really meant to say equality instead of equity.
