Changes for Palatine Curbside Leaf Collection Program

The Palatine Public Works Department will begin its annual Curbside Leaf Collection Program on Monday, Oct. 28, with several changes were approved by the village council to streamline the process.

The changes include: moving the start date back one week; combining the first two weeks of scheduled days into a one week all zone pickup; and removing specific days of the week to set out leaves. Everyone will set their leaves out on scheduled Mondays by 7 a.m.

Each single-family residence has three pickups between the week of Monday, Oct. 28, and the week of Monday, Nov. 18. All raked leaves must be put into the street and ready for pickup no later than 7 a.m. on scheduled Mondays, but no earlier than 4 p.m. on the day prior to collection.
