Effect of moral decline

It’s become nearly a blood sport in this country to blame the federal government for any number of societal problems and then expect the government to solve them. I submit that we should look in the mirror and begin the solving with ourselves.

Our declines in moral and spiritual fiber are obvious. Have you seen the number of aisles filled with junk food in the big-box stores? Obesity is at epidemic proportions. We’ve become the land of video violence, road rage and “me first, you lose.”

We’re not the land of the free and home of the brave anymore. We’re turning to packing weapons to repel aggressors. We think we can improve economic prosperity by gambling. We cannot legislate morality, and nobody’s government can solve all these problems. Look in the mirror and then open up your Bible. It has real answers.
