Tour Liberty Prairie’s outdoor classroom

A drop-in open house and tour of the Living Laboratory, Liberty Prairie’s outdoor classroom, will be held from 9 to noon Oct. 5.

The event begins at 8:45 a.m. with check and coffee at 550 Harris Road, Grayslake, followed by opening remarks, a tour and open house.

Tour activities include exploring the connection between people, plants and animals; a look at the new Education Garden; meet and greet with friendly goats, sheep and chickens; potting seeds in the greenhouse and taking home a plant; and, a visit to the community garden to learn about pollinators and compost and tractor-pulled wagon rides.
