on the economy?

I cannot understand why the polls show Trump leading Harris on the question of the economy.

Trump’s plan to round up and deport immigrants in the hundreds of thousands will cost billions of dollars for the American tax payer and deprive us of a great number of workers who are taxpayers.

If he thinks replacing them with native-borne Americans by subsidizing IVF treatments to make babies, it’s a pig in a poke that will add even more billions in taxpayer money.

And now recently, he promises to add child care (inconceivably, he says will be paid for by tariffs), which will even further drive our country into bankruptcy. What kind of businessman does that?

Maybe one who inherited his wealth, stiffs his contractors and time and again has proven himself incompetent through a string of his own bankruptcies. Remember his promise that Mexico would pay for the wall? How laughable was that?
