Mundelein cafe could get municipal grant

The Mundelein Village Board will meet Monday night to consider issuing a $7,925 Business Incentive Grant to Tropical Smoothie Cafe, 518 Townline Road.

The grant would help pay for the conversion of two parking spots to a fenced patio, documents indicate. The project is expected to cost $15,850.

The grant program helps defray the costs of improvements at Mundelein businesses. Entrepreneurs are reimbursed after the work is completed.

Monday’s meeting is set for 7 p.m. at village hall, 300 Plaza Circle.
