Bethany Covenant opens Sept. 29 at new St. Charles location

On Sunday, Sept. 29, Bethany Covenant Church will celebrate its first worship service at 9 a.m. at its new location, Pollyanna Brewing Company, 106 Riverside Ave. in St. Charles.

After outgrowing their space at Dimple’s Donuts in St. Charles, the church was pleasantly surprised by an invitation from the popular brewery, looking to rent off-hours space to those who share their passion for fostering community.

Although Bethany Covenant will no longer be the “Donut Church,” their unique format which encourages mid-sermon table conversations, food-centric gatherings such as “brunch church” and commitment to working with local groups like Lazarus House, remains the same.

On Sept. 29, the church will be celebrating their growth and second anniversary, brewing free coffee to share.

“All are welcome,” said Pastor Laura Tarro. “We hope to provide a place of hope, healing and connection.”
