Des Plaines to honor 9/11 victims, heroes with ceremony

The Des Plaines police and fire departments will host a Patriot Day ceremony on Sept. 11 to honor the victims and heroes of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks.

The public ceremony is set for 8 a.m. at the Des Plaines civic center, 1420 Miner St.

Parking will be available in the civic center garage.
