Registration open for Arlington Heights Citizen Police Academy

Registration for the Arlington Heights Police Department’s Fall 2024 session of its Citizen Police Academy is now open.

Class will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays from Sept. 10 to Nov. 12. The academy is free and open to all residents and business leaders of Arlington Heights, but it’s limited to 25 students per class.

The academy is a 10-week program providing hands-on experiences and practical insights into the operations of the police department. It includes classroom lessons, open discussions, multimedia presentations, live demonstrations and practical exercises in all facets of police work, ranging from patrol operations and traffic law enforcement to criminal investigations, forensic sciences and crime prevention techniques.
