No injuries reported after fire guts Antioch house

No injuries were reported from a house fire in Antioch Sunday morning that left the home severely damaged.

Firefighters were called to the two-story, single-family home on the 2100 block of West Marie Place at about 9:45 a.m.

Smoke was visible from the front of the home and flames could be seen on the back side of the structure. The house suffered “significant” damage and was deemed uninhabitable. No damage estimate was immediately available.

It took firefighters approximately three hours to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
