No injuries reported in Des Plaines shooting

No injuries were reported in a shooting Friday evening in the area of Howard Avenue and Orchard Street in Des Plaines, according to the Des Plaines Police Department.

At approximately 6:35 p.m., Des Plaines officers responded to a report of shots fired. Officers found spent shell casings in the immediate area, according to reports.

A preliminary investigation revealed the incident was isolated and no one was injured.

Police said they are continuing to investigate, but there is no threat to the community.
