Elgin church to host ‘Fill the Truck Food Drive’ Sept. 7 for All Peoples Interfaith Food Pantry
Journey of Hope will hold a “Fill the Truck Food Drive” for All Peoples Interfaith Food Pantry on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The church holds an annual event called “Super Service Saturday” where they participate in multiple service projects from preparing gift boxes for Spirit Lake Reservation in North Dakota, Feed My Starving Children, sending cards to community members, and especially a food drive for local food pantries.
The pantry continue to see the pressing need for food and other necessities in the community. They also know that it is difficult at times to donate these items. This is why they are holding a special drive-up food drive to “Fill the Truck.”
Drop off your donations of nonperishable and canned food items at Journey of Hope, on the northwest corner of Randall and Highland, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monetary donations also will be accepted.
Donations of small stuffed animals, school supplies, hats and mittens, and toys will be accepted for Christmas shoe boxes for Spirit Lake Reservation in North Dakota at the same time.
Help them better serve the community by offering your support.
