Glad to be alive, thanks to trooper
Fifty-five years ago, I was lucky to be alive. I had a blowout on the toll road at 90 mph, slid across all the lanes and almost off the steep embankment.
It was night, below zero and I was 17. Didn’t know how to change the tire. Then a hero showed up — state trooper, showed me and did it for me. That one effort was worthy of all the taxes I’ve paid over the years. It’s how America should work — for the people.
