Read beyond headlines for the full story

A recent article said inflation is the lowest in three years. So, I guess we all should plan a party? Let me get to the party store and buy balloons and noisemakers, but wait, they are so expensive now.

I guess I’ll have to wait a while for the party, and that is exactly my point. I’m looking for real news here, not political fodder. Most people in fact do not read the full story, just the headline. But then we see later in the article: “A core measure strips out volatile categories such as food and energy.”

Really? So, I guess this article is good news for business types that might be in the market for a loan or a business capital venture. The headline is to attract attention to the average reader to say look inflation is down Biden was right. No, Biden was not right, and really has not been right on anything, and that includes his crack team which includes Kamala Harris.

Food and fuel costs are outrageous to say the least. This administration printed money and radically increased the debt which poured gasoline on any inflation at all. The issue here is economics, and unfortunately progressives do not understand this. Once you start the inflation ball rolling, it’s very hard to stop.

Progressives want you to believe that “everyone” is price gouging. That is just not true. Pricing is very complex. You cannot just create a progressive policy that sets prices. That is pure socialism.

We need good competition. That roots out most of the bad guys. Drilling for oil on our own shores, decreasing illegal immigration which will keep people off of Medicaid. Having business-friendly practices that foster growth, and cleaning out the political blob that are bringing this country down is a start.
