Driver’s testing law seems ripe for lawsuit

The bill to stop testing senior drivers aged 80 and up still languishes in some obscure state Senate committee. You would think some law office, many of which advertise on our TV screens daily with ads looking for someone to sue, hasn’t jumped on this opportunity for a class action age discrimination case, since it unfairly targets an age group without any justification, since that age group statistically has about the safest drivers of any age group and no other of the 50 states has found a legal need for such a rule.

And perhaps a suit of some type should also require a rebate on the money of the money Illinois has thus improperly collected. It also could be that some non-attorney private party with the proper know-how could also file such a suit. It is past time for some action.
