Real climate problems
If letter writer John Gibson lived in parts of Florida or Texas that get increasingly frequent serious storms or if his job was working in oppressive hot sun, he may not have called prior letter writers alarmist.
His last paragraph stated, “If we eliminate the use of fossil fuels for energy without a viable alternative, that really would be the end of the world.”
End of the world? Mankind had been living for what — 100,000 to 200,000 years without extracting petroleum. Didn’t need it then; it is causing real problems now.
