Crook’s 10th-inning home run gives Chicago Dogs the win in Texas
Narciso Crook hit a 2-run home run in a four-run 10th inning, as the Dogs won against the Cleburne Railroaders 8-4 in Texas Thursday night.
Chicago got on the scoreboard in the third inning when Jacob Teter hit his 21st home run of the season, a low line drive over the right-field wall giving the Dogs a 1-0 lead.
Chicago extended that lead in the third when Johnni Turbo hit his sixth home run of the season to left-center field, pushing the gap to 3-0. Cleburne scored its first two runs of the game in the bottom of the fourth when Carter Aldrete hit his 15th home run of the season, cutting the deficit to 3-2.
Chicago add a run in the seventh making it 4-2, but in the eighth, on a 3-2 pitch, Thomas Dillard tied the game off Brian Schlitter with a 2-run home run, evening the game at 4.
