An open letter of thanks
Dear President Biden:
Four years ago, you were not my first pick to be President, it wasn’t that I didn’t think you would make a good president, it’s that I did not think you could beat Trump and as it turned out, you beat him handily.
Now you have done things that I have not agreed with, for example the student debt issue, not that something doesn’t need to be done. You should have brought the full weight of the DOJ into looking at Trump, Jan. 6 and the document issues. If you would have moved quickly, these cases would have been heard by now and most of any appeals would also have been heard and we would not be in this mess.
I believe you have brought honesty, integrity and honor back to the office of the President of the United States. Your policies on foreign issues have been spot on and we are a safer and better country for the choices you have made.
Domestically, you have guided us through COVID and repaired our economy better than I could have hoped. You have put the focus back on the climate and equal rights and equal justice, and you have done this with the smallest of margins in Congress.
In this divided country that we live in, no one knows what is going to come. Your vice president and now candidate for your replacement has never been high on my list, but I am going to trust you (as you have more than earned our trust) that she is the right person to defeat Trump and lead our country going forward. Nothing as of this time is more than defeating Trump and all that he stands for.
Thank you, Mr. President, and may God bless you and your family
