Despite age, Biden is clear choice
When I voted for Biden, I assumed that he would be a one-term president. As time went by, I have become concerned that picking Harris was a mistake. Unfortunately the nation is now faced
with the conundrum of a frail president and an unimpressive vice president running against a man who is unfit to be president, a man who when he was president attempted to overthrow our duly elected government, among his many other failings.
Biden may be frail, but he is a decent man, who has long served this country with courage and dignity, striving to serve all its citizens, not just the rich and powerful ones. Biden pulled us out of the pandemic and has built the economy back to all-time highs. We still have the strongest economy in the world. He passed an infrastructure bill to bring electronic capabilities to rural areas, and repair bridges and roadways, adding many jobs to areas of high unemployment.
Biden has reduced costs of insulin and protected the Affordable Care act which has given millions of uninsured citizens health care. So buck up Democrats, stop the sanctimonious self-flagellation so common in our political party and call Trump out for what he is: a real threat to our republic and the rest of the world.
Biden has surrounded himself with decent, competent people. Trump surrounded himself with those who have authored “2025”. Read what the Christian Nationalists have in store for us. It’s disgusting, terrifying and it is how the Republican party plans to govern. And the middle class and the poor who will suffer the most.
We have a clear choice in this election. If we blow it, we are fools even more than the Republicans. We know better. We must do better. Failure is not an option.
