Community spirit takes center stage at annual North Aurora Days

Spend the first weekend in August enjoying live music, great food and family fun at Riverfront Park in North Aurora.

Set for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2-3, North Aurora Days features concerts, food vendors and children’s activities, including a Touch A Truck event, Fun Run, petting zoo, face painting, balloon art and a reptile show. Other activities include a fishing derby, softball tournament and fireworks.

A major attraction at this year’s fest is inflatables for both children and adults with a giant 36-foot inflatable slide. Adults can also try their luck on a mechanical bull and all ages are invited to check out the video gaming truck with more than five large screens. With the exception of food and drinks, the entire event is free.

“North Aurora days to me is an opportunity for residents to see their neighbors they don’t usually see, some return to North Aurora for only this event, similar to a family reunion,” said Mark Gaffino, North Aurora Village President and North Aurora Days Chairman. “I personally enjoy observing all the activities and people engaging with neighbors and all the big smiles.”

Musical acts include Blooze Brothers and Spoken Four Friday night, with Generation Band jamming out to tunes through the decades Saturday night, followed by Boy Band Night delivering a medley of Boy Band covers.

“North Aurora Days is our community’s largest festival and it’s a fantastic opportunity for the entire town to come out and have a fun time,” Gaffino said. “Myself, the North Aurora Days Committee and our village staff do a great job finding entertainment everyone will enjoy and I could not be more proud of all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to make this event a community stable and one that many look forward to each year.”

Among the Platinum sponsors making North Aurora Days possible is Gerald Subaru of North Aurora.

“We are always touched when we see such wonderful support from members of the North Aurora community,” Gaffino said. “It means a lot to see businesses like Gerald Subaru of North Aurora not just be a business in our town but be a neighbor and help us put on events like North Aurora Days for our community.”

Donna Lawler of the Gerald Auto Group is proud to have Gerald Subaru of North Aurora sponsor the community’s annual fest.

“As a local business, Gerald Subaru of North Aurora loves being part of North Aurora Days,” Lawler said. “This event exemplifies community spirit at its finest, fostering connections and creating cherished moments for everyone involved.”
