Storm-related blaze damages Naperville home
Sunday evening’s storm is being blamed for a fire that damaged a Naperville home.
Naperville firefighters were called to the home in the 2000 block of Schumacher Lane about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. After they arrived to find flames coming from the house, additional units were dispatched to the home.
Firefighters were able to control the blaze within 15 minutes. Those inside the home escaped before firefighters arrived.
The home, which sustained an estimated $150,000 in damage, was deemed uninhabitable, according to a news release from the Naperville Fire Department.
