“The Charity Golf Tournament is one of Edward Foundation’s largest fundraising events with funds raised supporting strategic upgrades across multiple Edward Hospital service lines including oncology, cardiology and behavioral health,” said Mandi Iubatti, Development Manager for Edward Foundation. “Each year staff, physicians, vendors and community members come together for a fun round of 18 while supporting the patients in our community.”

Highlights of the tournament include a delicious lunch prior to the shotgun start with opportunities to take part in exciting prize raffles, a lively silent auction and a bottle putt challenge. Golfers are offered an opportunity to purchase a Tournament Contest Bracelet, allowing participation in on-course games such as closest to the pin, longest drive, closest to the line and longest putt. Golfers also have the chance to win a car with a hole in one. The day wraps up with dinner, cocktails and an awards ceremony.

The Edward Foundation is expecting more than 300 golfers and hopes to raise more than $490,000, Iubatti said.

“We’re proud of the continued growth our events have experienced as well as the positive feedback we’ve received from participants,” Iubatti said. “A successful event allows us to further our patient care mission, helping to ensure our community has access to a hospital that offers leading edge technology and the finest staff and physicians.”

This event is made possible with the generous contributions of sponsors, including Gerald Cares.

“Sponsorship and community support are the cornerstone to our event fundraising efforts,” Iubatti said. “Gerald’s support ultimately leads to enriched patient services and outcomes, benefiting multitudes of patients and family members each year.”

Gerald Cares is honored to be part of the Charity Golf Outing and the positive outcomes made possible by the event.
