Two promoted in Wheeling Fire Department

Wheeling firefighters and village leaders publicly celebrated a pair of promotions within the fire department this week.

Vito Lanciloti was bumped up to battalion chief. With the department since 2001, he most recently had been a lieutenant.

Additionally, Anthony Lorenzo was promoted to lieutenant, from firefighter-paramedic. He joined the department in 2013.

Lanciloti’s and Lorenzo’s promotions were effective Monday, and they were honored during the night’s village board meeting at village hall.
