Lisle woman injured in Saturday morning crash in Naperville

Paramedics freed a 20-year-old Lisle woman from a vehicle after it struck a tree early Saturday in Naperville, police said.

At 3:46 a.m., Naperville police and fire personnel were dispatched to the intersection of South Naper Boulevard and Culpepper Drive for a traffic crash with injuries.

Officers found a 2021 blue Kia Forte had left the roadway and struck a tree.

The female driver was trapped inside but eventually was freed and transported to a hospital with significant injuries. A small dog was found inside the Kia and taken to a local emergency veterinarian hospital where it succumbed to its injuries, police said.

Crash investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene. The roadway was closed until 8:20 a.m.
