Buffalo Grove firefighters commended for training

Buffalo Grove fire Chief Mike Baker presented a special Fire Chief Citation last week to members of the Buffalo Grove Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Local 3177. They were recognized for hosting a “Fire Ops 101” training session on May 18.

The session allowed members of the village board and staff to receive a hands-on, immersive experience highlighting the mental and physical strength required to be a firefighter/paramedic.

Also taking part were the Barrington Fire Department and members of the Barrington Village Board.
