Inconsistency on honoring veterans

After a long Memorial Day weekend, this morning I opened Facebook and saw so many very nice and heartfelt tributes to the men and women that have served our country with bravery, honor and devotion to protect our way of life and all that this country stands for or hopes to stand for. We have never been perfect, and we never will be. That’s why in the very Constitution, it states that, “We, the people, … in order to form a more perfect union,” because we are not perfect, but that we strive to be better going forward.

As I was reading, I was stuck by how many Trump supporters were claiming the same feelings toward our country and to those that have served in defense of what we state for.

I am sorry, but I find this completely hypocritical. How can you support our men in women that have served on one hand and then support someone who has called our veterans “losers and suckers” and claim he didn’t find the men and women who were captured should be called heroes, even after they’ve been tortured or killed in defense of this country?

The man that was upset that a person singing our national anthem on a Memorial Day service at Arlington National Cemetery was too injured to be seen in public. This the very same man that has complained that his courtroom is too cold for him or the same person who got five deferments so that he didn’t have to serve.

There is no way you can say you support our troops and our country and support this person for anything. It's no different from when a group of clergies claim he has been sent by God to save us.
