Tax decisions insensitive to state’s businesses

Our state legislators have stuck again. They (Democrats) passed legislation effectively raising the online wagering business tax, currently 15%, up to a maximum of 40%. They must think that all businesses are their personal ATMs and they can with draw more money any time they need it to cover their own inept fiscal business skills running a state.

There was a $1 billion dollar shortfall in this year’s budget request. They are also dictating how much a business can make by increasing taxes at will. They wonder why business is moving out of state.

Get spending under control. This is the most corrupt state in the union with the second-highest overall taxes in the USA. Have all you forgotten about the 19 cents per gallon doubling increase in 2019? And now automatic yearly increases tied to inflation, I haven’t.

Where does all that extra money go? Supposedly for infrastructure. Yeah right. Probably to patronage jobs to keep the voting block strong.

Also the cannabis taxes are over 20%, so more patronage jobs and votes can be bought. They must think all the citizens of Illinois are stupid. They have some basis for that thought, because the majority of citizens keep voting for them. So keep complaining about inflation while you doing nothing to stop it.
