Compromise would benefit both sides
Susan Estrich, a Trump dissenter of the highest degree, says Donald Trump will be the end of abortion rights; he will take away a woman’s constitutional rights to reproductive freedom. I ask, is it a woman’s right to abort a healthy fetus in the latter months of pregnancy or is it ending a human being’s life?
What is wrong with the following solution to the abortion issue:
If a fetus is healthy and development is beyond what is determined to be the right time to confirm pregnancy, then the birth should be completed. If the pregnant woman does not want the child or realizes she cannot properly raise the child, then she should put it up for adoption.
The exceptions to full-term pregnancy should be if the woman became pregnant by rape, incest or the lives of the mother or child are at risk. If a woman gets pregnant and exceeds the time that determines she has a living person inside of her, then what right does she have to kill the fetus? Give birth and then give others the opportunity to have children.
If both sides of this issue would reach a compromise the country would benefit.
