St. Charles recognized as a bird friendly community
St. Charles was recently named a “Bird City” by Bird City Illinois.
Only 10 cities in Illinois are designated as Bird City communities. St. Charles was recognized for its bird-friendly natural areas, community activities and educational efforts about World Migratory Bird Day and dark skies awareness.
Along with being recognized as a Bird City, St. Charles has been a Tree City USA community for the last 26 years.
