Crossing guard returns for Hall Quarry Beach users

When Harold Hall Quarry Beach in Batavia opens on Saturday, crossing guards will help people cross Route 31 to get there. The guards will be at Union Avenue from 30 minutes before Quarry Beach opens to 30 minutes after it closes.

The city is also rescheduling construction work at the sewage treatment plant expansion at Water Street and Union Avenue. Construction work at that location will happen mostly from 7 to 11 a.m.

Water is closed from Main Street south to Union; visitors should take Union south to Pamarco Drive.
