A-League: Late goal by Henrique gives Roar a draw, 1st place

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) - Substitute Henrique's goal with 20 minutes remaining gave Brisbane a 1-1 draw with Melbourne City and moved the Roar back into first place in the A-League on Friday.

Just days after scoring the winner against Perth Glory in his comeback from injury, Henrique came off the bench to score the equalizer.

Harry Novillo gave City the lead soon after halftime, exploiting Roar goalkeeper Jamie Young's poor clearing attempt.

The Roar have a one-point lead over the Melbourne Victory, who moved into first on Thursday after beating Central Coast 2-1.

On Saturday, third-place Sydney FC plays at Perth, while fourth-place Western Sydney hosts Wellington. Sydney is three points out of first place, Western Sydney four.

Adelaide is home to Newcastle on Sunday.
