Don’t blame Texas

Texas should not be blamed for busing migrants to Chicago. They are not allowed to stop those who illegally cross our border. They bus these people to Chicago, where they will be welcomed.

In Chicago, they will be fed, clothed and sheltered. Their children will be educated in our public schools. If they enroll in County Care, they will get health care that includes dental (something that the VA only provides to 15% of enrolled veterans) and they get $50 VISA gift cards for making appointments, getting vaccinations and screenings and other things.

As comedian Yakov Smirnoff used to say, “What a country.”
