Border questions
When we think of the immigrants who are arriving illegally in droves to the United States via the southern border, I was quite surprised to see a picture in the Wednesday, Oct. 11, issue of the Daily Herald.
On Page 2 under "World and Nation" is a picture captioned: "Others charge and use their phones in a parking lot set up to help with travel plans, accommodations, food and shelter." This was in reference to an article about how San Diego is now feeling the strain of the influx.
Two questions: 1) how can so many of the immigrants afford cell phones, and 2) who is paying for their service?
