Batavia giving free reusable bags to residents

The city of Batavia is using some of the money collected from the 10-cent non-reusable bag fee to purchase reusable bags for residents.

People can pick up a free jute bag while supplies last at the reception desk at the Schielke Government Center, 100 N. Island Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
